TIPS TO GAIN YOUR LUNG STRENGTH

1. Balance your activity with rest or sleep: When you feel tired don't push yourself take some rest!.

When we are overtired, we compromise our bodies natural ability to fight off infection. Try to maintain a normal sleep schedule and/or take naps when you need them. Getting plenty of ZZZ’s will keep you in top germ-fighting shape.






2. Eat a balanced diet: Eat more vegetables, fruits and whole-grain products, rather than simple carbohydrates such as sugar, candy, soda and desserts. Fruits and vegetables help support our immune systems by fighting off free radicals and providing your body with antioxidants and vitamins.





3. Be active (if you can): Do some leg exercises like walking, leg raising or standing up and down.

Improve your flexibility with stretching exercises. Gradually improve your ability to exercise for longer periods (build up stamina). Increase activity at your own pace, and do not be afraid to get modestly out of breath (i.e. 4–5 on a scale of 0–10). Improve your muscle strength (i.e. by lifting weights). At the end of your work-out, slow down your activities and stretch the muscles you have used and allow your breathing to return to normal (cooldown).




4. Breathe better: Retain your breathing with different breathing techniques.






5.Monitor with chronic health issues: Understand and improve the knowledge about your condition using various medium. Learn some basic ways to monitor or manage your lung condition or things to do in case of an emergency. Communicate with your doctor regularly to manage your lung condition.
